Cypress Black Bayou Campground in Shreveport Louisiana is host to Cypress Nature Center, and a zoo that cares for animals injured or abandoned by their parents. On our walk to visit the zoo, we were mesmerized by a Starling murmuration. It is poetry in the sky and difficult to describe so someone lease will need to explain its magic.

We were fortunate to have visited the zoo in the evening because the next morning Noah was gathering his creatures for a boat ride. Due to the forecast of freezing temperatures, we had winterized the Alto in Vicksburg; the walk to the bathrooms needed breakup boots -aargh.
When we passed through Texas, the remnants of the storm were hanging on branches but not on the roads.
