Birthday

Before leaving Sister Kay's in October, she and I decided to spend our birthday together of the first time in 18 years. Steve and I planned to be in Florida in November and I was able to book a nonstop flight on Allegiant Air from Naples, Florida to Bangor, Maine for $145 roundtrip. One of the reasons it is so cheap is that you pay an additional fee for everything. The person across the row from me did not plan as well (or did not have a twin sister) and paid an additional $50 for a carryon bag. I was able to stuff everything for a four day trip into a large purse and borrowed only a couple times from my twin sister.

In addition to walks in unseasonably warm temperatures in Maine, Kay booked a reservation at a well-reviewed restaurant. Coincidentally, it was next door to the wine and cheese shop where Steve surprised us with a gift certificate and is also the background for the photo.
